Welcome to Cablefield Services, where we specialize in fiber optic repair by resurrecting reels of fiber optic cable that might have otherwise been discarded. Our journey began during the COVID days when lead times were prolonged, prompting telecoms and distributors to stock up for the long term. However, by 2023, challenges arose as fiber lead times and prices dropped, leaving many distributors and end users with excess fiber they couldn't use. When they attempted to utilize the reels, they often found them damaged from exposure to the elements.

Our inaugural project involved a premium manufacturer with over 300 damaged reels. We searched across the United States for a contractor, manufacturer, or service company capable of repairing and respooling the fiber to factory delivery specifications, only to discover that no company was qualified for the task. This realization highlighted both a significant problem and a unique opportunity.

Since then, we have successfully repaired and respooled over 1,000 reels of fiber and counting. In addition to our fiber optic repair services, we also offer respooling services, assisting companies in converting larger reels into smaller sizes, such as two 10,000' reels from a 20,000' reel or four 5,000' reels, tailored to meet customer requirements. Our commitment to telecom asset recovery ensures that no fiber reel goes to waste.
